about us
Did you know that the Friends of Gallatin Miracle Park executive board is made up of moms of children with special needs? Ensuring that our parks are inclusive and accessible isn’t just our mission statement, it’s our passion. It’s who we are as mothers.
Our mission is simple: We want to instill hope and goodwill by providing accessible, inclusive environments within the city of Gallatin parks, specifically the Gallatin Miracle Park.
How do we do that? The Friends of Gallatin Miracle Park is working hard to raise money through donations and grants to help maintain the park, purchase new equipment for the park and host quarterly VIP special events for people with special needs and their families.
The park currently offers A.D.A. compliant recreation, including a wheelchair swing, ramps, a flat-based baseball field, sensory area, pedal park and more. The Friends of Gallatin Miracle Park has raised funds for a new communication board and is currently raising funds for a new shade structure at the park’s entrance.
Every child deserves to feel the wind in their face as they swing back and forth at the playground. Every child deserves to be accepted, to be treated with respect and patience and to enjoy being a kid alongside their peers. It is our mission - both as mothers and as board members - to ensure that our children all feel loved and have access to everything they need to play at our city’s parks.
